Opportunity for Pro-active Account Manager with Proven Record
ARGO (www.ARGOatv.com), the world leader in amphibious utility terrain vehicles is looking for a pro-active and results-oriented sales professional to grow sales to utility companies, natural resources development companies, the public sector and the upscale recreational off-road market.
The ideal candidate has a thorough understanding of sales through specification and demonstration, dealer development and management, and the implementation of marketing tools. He/she has a business or technical degree and a minimum of 5-7 years successful sales with off-road vehicles, tracked vehicles, equipment for mining and utilities, and thrives in a professional, hands-on environment. Must be in position to travel 70-80% and pull trailer with demo vehicle. Location: Home based in Utah, Idaho or Oregon.

Objective
Develop, train and maintain dealers for an exciting product line of recreational and commercial amphibious off-road vehicles (www.argoatv.com) Our dealers are selling to the following industry sectors: Recreation (Hunting, Fishing, Family Fun), Utilities, Natural Resource Exploration, Public Sector, Wood Lot Management and Agriculture, Resort Lodges and Outfitting.
The ideal candidate will develop and manage a dealer network of about 25-30 professional dealers, define growth objectives to increase our market penetration and establish our unique vehicles in growth segments.
He/she will implement a plan as to how these objectives can be reached. Close interaction with the end-users (commercial and recreational), our dealer network and internal sales support team are the key factors for success.

ODG has established the ARGO as the world leader in amphibious vehicles, and its industrial division has built a solid reputation for the design and manufacture of quality gears and transmissions.
The ARGO and Centaur vehicles have limited direct competition and are backed by a professional sales and marketing organization. ODG is proud of its solid reputation, competitive manufacturing, and for its continuous innovation and product development.
Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate
- Field sales experience in pro-active sales channel development, ideally in the sales of commercial and industrial off-road vehicles or tractors to utilities, natural resource companies, government, municipalities and farmers
- 3-5 years proven track record as a regional sales manager capable of selling a top-of-the line vehicle to dealers and end-users
- Technical knowledge of off-road vehicles in the price range of $ 15,000 to 100,000 and a good comprehension of small engines (i.e. Kawasaki, Briggs & Stratton, Kohler, Honda, Yamaha).
- Pro-active project management experience to coordinate public sector, oil & gas companies and utilities
- Systematic and objective oriented hands - on approach.
- Computer Skills (MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience in web based information and CRM systems
- Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Results oriented, self-motivated and open to new ideas.
Current Situation
ODG is in the process of expanding its activities in the global market. The ARGO and Centaur have a proven track record as a reliable transport solution in both the commercial and recreational vehicle sectors. As a result of the demand for our vehicles in North America, ODG is further developing the Western US market. We have identified considerable growth potential by implementing new sales channel and end-user pull strategies. We have a dealer network in place capable of increasing sales, but need to identify and develop more professional dealerships and end-users to achieve our corporate growth objectives. There are significant challenges to overcome, principally distance in the territory, and a low market recognition of the product - despite having been in production over 40 years, and having sold more than 50,000 units worldwide.

Planning
- Define sales objectives per dealer based on overall sales targets
- Develop sales and marketing plan
- Implement ARGO sales strategy with dealers and end-users
End-User Sales
- Focus on end-users with multi- vehicle purchasing opportunities
- Work with dealers to increase presence at end-users
- Organize and implement a demo ride strategy
Distribution
- Support existing dealer network
- Identify, select and train professional new dealerships
- Maximize market potential
Marketing Support
- Select, coordinate and participate in trade shows
- Support marketing activities of dealer network
- Select and coordinate dealer group advertisements
- Initiate appropriate strategic partnerships with agents to promote Argo and Centaur products at
industrial and commercial end-users
Systematic Approach
- Implement objectives within given time frame
- Regular visits to dealers and end-users (extensive traveling required)
- Strongly develop and sell to target markets with growth potential
